Life is alot of things-Week One Writing Assignment

Here it is the beginning of the semester and I am contemplating what to write for my first essay. To be honest, writing has always seemed to come naturally for me. I had an English teacher who told me if I only took a few more classes I would be ready to turn my resume in to the New York Times. Now I find myself diving deep into the inner me. The one who has a passion for bringing people to a serene river, making their noses smell the refreshing mist of morning rain, and I'm stuck.

Currently my life is a hectic mess. My laundry is done daily and folded weekly, my kids follow behind me making a new trail as I pick up the old one. I have certain commitments I have made to a mommy group, bible study, losing weight and just managing a stay at home single mom routine as my husband is overseas. Anyone would think I was crazy to add one more thing to an already hectic life, but not me. I am the type of individual who takes pride in too much on my plate. The more wheels that spin around me the more production I complete. Mainly I am in school for me. School means a better the life for my husband, kids and myself. It offers up a lot of financial help to be well educated and to earn a degree. That is my main focus, my main goal.

Like any good hectic person, I love lists. I love plans. I live off of managing every point in my life and taking it all by force. If I sit and reflect too long, the other side of me kicks in. Procrastination. In life I have had this horrible curse to wait until the last minute. To avoid things until I just can't anymore. How I plan to avoid this is just to keep what works lists, planning, getting it done today, and not leaving it for tomorrow. I have high hopes for this class and am very excited to do well. To not lose momentum I plan on staying on top of it, and hope by the end you are smelling the mist from the rain, and hearing the tire swing on the playground.

~Introduction~

Hello, My name is Tabitha. I currently live in Fairbanks,AK. I am very new to Alaska, I have only been here a year. I'm from Washington State and miss my fresh air and evening walks. Alaska has shown me a new kind of beautiful and I am learning to accept it for the time I am here!
I tend not to hold high expectations of other things or people, but I tend to do well with English classes and especially writing. A lot of it comes naturally to me. What I have always lacked is the interest in reading or writing anything but music. So where I am most worried is not fulfilling my complete potential, or getting behind.
I like to hobby write. I have a Myspace page in which I write short stories, about different struggles an army wife goes through during the weeks up to deployment and the weeks there after. I like writing on my terms or when I just get an idea and have to share it with the world! When I am not writing, I am singing or playing my guitar.
